Behaviour consultations

Behaviour consultations are available for owners who have dogs that are showing an unwanted behaviour and need some support to overcome the issue.

We normally come to your home to evaluate and assess what behaviours you are experiencing which normally takes one hour. We will then advise you appropriately and demonstrate methods on how to manage the behaviour.

Following this, an extensive tailored training programme will be drawn up dependent on the dogs needs. We can then perform a follow up consultation for a discounted rate of £30 for an hour to see how the programme is going and make any adjustments if needed.

We offer one month free e-mail and phone support with this service.

Most problem behaviours occur due to incorrect training methods or lack of education in canine body language. We will always remain honest and open about why we think a dog is showing these behaviours.

Please do not be embarrassed if you feel your dog is displaying these behaviours due to human error. If you have come to us it is because you are looking for help and we are more than happy to give you the best possible advice.

WE COME TO YOUR HOUSE OR REGULAR WALKING AREA

Training sessions are normally available on weekdays or weekday nights depending on availability

Common issues we experience are dogs being reactive to other dogs or people, possessive over toys/food, separation anxiety, chasing traffic/livestock. We offer advice on many more behaviour issues.

The difference between a 1-2-1 training session and a behaviour consultation:

For 1-2-1 training sessions, we offer a practical session which usually does not require a follow up appointment. However, if requested, we can write up notes to follow on the session for an extra charge depending on what has been covered.

Behaviour consultations are tailored for owners looking for help on a specific behavioural issue which is normally not just a quick fix. Examples of such issues include: aggression to dogs/people, possessive over toys/food and separation anxiety. These require follow up advice. Behaviour consultations have a written plan, an hour evaluation and a follow support included in the price.
